About & Contact

Carolyn

Carolyn has been potting and sculpting for over 40 years and has made large and small sculptures from life size dogs, rare animals, native birds and most recently outstanding flowers for both indoor and garden displays. The most popular flower has been the red poppy, a strong Anzac image. Carolyn first produced these poppies for the Sir Peter Jackson exhibition at Te Papa and the NZ War Memorial Museum in Wellington , NZ. From there the poppies have gone worldwide and are in many first world war cemeteries in Turkey and France as well as many private gardens and houses in U.K, USA, Canada, India, Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. and many other countries.

All of Carolyn’s work is hand built, no molds are used so every item is truly unique. Carolyn has a unique gift in handling clay, perfected from years of creative design, hand-work and repetition to attain perfection. We have photographed the various flowers for this site but they look more impressive in reality.
